Smart Goals

In my Seminar for Academic Success class the main concept Carleigh pushed was making goals and planning out the steps of successfully accomplishing them. By breaking down the steps and setting deadlines we approach the final outcome.


Specific Goal – “Fantasy Playhouse” - Final project for Conceptual Design 100

Measured – Conceptual Design board, Schematic design board and 3-D model turned in

Attainable – Yes

Resources – 2 11x15 boards, foam for model, computer and printer, scissors, glue and ruler, samples from hardware store, energy, and time management skills.

Steps –

1-    Concept statement written; type and insert logo, printed and mounted

2-    Get pictures from internet, magazines, and books

3-    Get samples of fabric/floor/wall coverings

4-    Cut everything and arrange on board

5-    Mount, paste and add name and logo

6-    Add shells and sand for real life elements

7-    Draw final floor plan and elevation view, mount and paste

8-    Photos of model, logo and photos of model

9-    Finish 3-D model

10- Turn project in by week 13
