My overall experience of this piece is very distracting which definitely catches the eye. I think for a fashion student this is a wonderful artistic piece, representing the concept and the material of the dress. Its impressing how so much movement is created by the models different positions as well as the way the feathers are placed together. Also, I really like the way the bold color stands out in the contrast of the black and white background. The only thing not working for me is the red spots splattered all over the background; focus is taken off the red being only in the bright dress. I wonder what the artist is going to do next. Is it really going to be transformed into a dress? I would love to see the outcome! There is actually companies out there, such as Orsa Feathers specializing in ostrich feather design; expensive and luxurious.
