Since I was a little girl everything I ever did always came back to designing and making things and people look good. After spending my childhood decorating doll houses and watching design shows; i realized that working with colors, textures, shapes and light is my passion in life. So when I got to Sarasota High School I took the four years of both Interior Design and Drafting to prepare me with all the basics. It was such a good experience; especially because I had two great teachers from which I learned so much. By my junior year I was sure Interior Design is my passion and the degree I wanted to graduate college with. I was also introduced to a cosmetology program at Sarasota County Technical Institue which allowed to me to get my license part time, so i can be licensed by the time I graduate highschool.
Well, unfortunatly I didnt end up not getting all the hours I needed because at I didnt take it seriously in the beginning. It ended up being my other passion, but I had to pick between that or just going off to interior design school. I picked the Academy of Art University, so me and my honey packed and moved and trying to get everything settled down has been such a journey. A year later, I am through with a semester in my design degree, and am enrolled in a Paris Beauty College, working on finishing my cosmetology license. I finally found a job working with some very succesful stylists at the Marhsa Tobia's Salon. Im Marsha's assistant and student and love my experience there; which is preparing me for my future job as a stylist. I plan on being licensed by December and then going back to design school to finish my second degree. I plan on expanding both careers as far as I can and hope to love my career and create beautiful work.
